This week has been exceedingly hectic! Although it was
Spring Break, it was not a break for me. Instead of traveling to some far away,
tropical island I stayed in Oklahoma. I also shadowed for my Physical Therapy
hours. I got the opportunity to shadow at the Children’s Hospital with some
incredible PTs! The kiddos were awesome and I got to (basically) play with
babies in the mornings, what more could a girl ask for? It was a little
disappointing to not be able to relax or sleep in, but it did come with a
rewarding feeling of giving back. It also helped me to realize that Pediatrics
is definitely an area I want to work in in the future.
Schoolwork has been on the backburner this week, and because
of this I’ve slipped behind in a few classes (including this one). I managed to
not complete three of the four assignments due last week because of midterms!
Due to that, here I am reflecting on my weeks. I am grateful to have the
opportunity to take a moment to catch my breath however. As this semester has
gone flying by, I am become more and more nervous about PT school applications
coming up and keeping my grades up. I have yet to look at a midterm grade
posted due to nerves and have avoided D2L as much as possible.
Staying focused is getting harder, but seeing the light at the
end of the tunnel is helpful! I keep reminding myself that at the end of these
next 7 weeks I will be travelling to Germany for a month. My family and I have
been planning this trip for almost a year and I cannot be more excited. I will
get to spend lots of time with my aunt and cousin that reside in Germany, as
well as practice my German speaking skills! So here's to being half way done!
