Famous Last Words: Spring Break

This week has been exceedingly hectic! Although it was Spring Break, it was not a break for me. Instead of traveling to some far away, tropical island I stayed in Oklahoma. I also shadowed for my Physical Therapy hours. I got the opportunity to shadow at the Children’s Hospital with some incredible PTs! The kiddos were awesome and I got to (basically) play with babies in the mornings, what more could a girl ask for? It was a little disappointing to not be able to relax or sleep in, but it did come with a rewarding feeling of giving back. It also helped me to realize that Pediatrics is definitely an area I want to work in in the future.

Schoolwork has been on the backburner this week, and because of this I’ve slipped behind in a few classes (including this one). I managed to not complete three of the four assignments due last week because of midterms! Due to that, here I am reflecting on my weeks. I am grateful to have the opportunity to take a moment to catch my breath however. As this semester has gone flying by, I am become more and more nervous about PT school applications coming up and keeping my grades up. I have yet to look at a midterm grade posted due to nerves and have avoided D2L as much as possible.

Staying focused is getting harder, but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is helpful! I keep reminding myself that at the end of these next 7 weeks I will be travelling to Germany for a month. My family and I have been planning this trip for almost a year and I cannot be more excited. I will get to spend lots of time with my aunt and cousin that reside in Germany, as well as practice my German speaking skills! So here's to being half way done!

Blog Ideas

Searching through the different blogs has been a fun assignment! I enjoyed seeing others' takes on the blogging world. I also learned about some different things to attempt in the future.

The three blogs I really enjoyed visiting were:

Matty Williams' blog

Maisy Fallon's blog

and  Madison Malget's blog

I liked Matty's blog because of her use of a white, solid background against her words. It made them stand out a lot more as well as made her images stand out more distinctly. I will have to look into doing this soon!

I liked Maisy's blog because of her use of the weather app on the side of her blog. It was a nifty little gadget that made me realize how nice it is to have the up-to-date weather on the blog.

I liked Madison's blog because of how she had her links set up. She has them aligned at the top of the page, easy for the readers to find and see. I will have to try doing this!

Time is Flying By

This semester seems to be flying by! It seems like just yesterday I was starting my classes for the spring semester. The first half of this semester is done, but unfortunately there are still seven more weeks to go. So for the next seven weeks I have decided to realign my assignments a smidge. I hoping to become a bit more proactive and to try and avoid procrastinating for assignments. With this I will be keeping my start days for this class and how I've been working on the homework. However, I will be trying to work ahead as much as possible, rather than accomplishing the bare minimum. I hope everyone else is powering through their semester and can slowly see the light at the end of the tunnel! One of my favorite motivational quotes is from Winnie the Pooh. My dad always told it to me when I was growing up, and still repeats it these days. So just keep hopping over those obstacles!
